Thank You Note
I’ve been DJing for a long time. I’m fairly used to and mostly immune to rude patrons. Not that I deal with them regularly because I do Not but after 9+ years of doing this professionally, I’ve seen my fair share of them. On the unfortunate nights where I deal with a rude or unpleasant patron I usually brush it off.
But one thing that still feels just as good today as it did the first time it happened is when a person comes up to give me any kind of compliment or love for my work while DJing. I am 100% serious when I say that it is a greater reward than any kind of tip.
On Friday at The DIME a patron gave me a note. (Pictured Below). Plenty of times I’ve been given one of these with request(s) written on them but I can’t recall the last time someone gave me one thanking me for playing 3 songs (of my own choosing) throughout the night. This really made my night.
I’m not gonna pat myself on the back but I will say it’s nice to be appreciated for your work. To the young lady who took the time to write this note (On the back of a Del taco recipt)… You are welcome. And Thank You for hanging out and taking the time to write it.
